Customize in Gimp
- To open the front texture of your T-shirt, go to the top menu and click on File ➞ Open.
- Go to the folder where you have saved the front texture, select it, and click Open.
To make sure the IMVU experience is fun for everyone, we have specific guidelines on what content is acceptable. Therefore, it is very important that every Creator reads this policy.

Following IMVU guidelines, choose an image that you would like to add to your shirt.
- Go to the top menu and click on File ➞ Open as Layers….
- Browse the folder where you saved the image and select it.
- Click Open.
The image can be resized and positioned as desired.
- To resize it, select the layer that contains the image, and right click over the image.
- A menu pops up.
Click on Tools ➞ Transform Tools ➞ Scale.
The Scale Tool 
allows to scale the selected image as well. It can be found on the left toolbox.
Click and drag the resize handles at the corners of the image to adjust its size.
You can also change the dimensions of the image by changing its Width and Height on the Scale Adjustment Dialog.
These values are also automatically changed when you drag handles in the image.
When the image is set, click on the Scale button.
- To position the image, select the layer that contains it, and right click over it.
- In the menu that pops up, click on Tools ➞ Transform Tools ➞ Move.
The Move Tool 
allows to move the selected image as well. It can be found on the left toolbox.
Click on the image and drag it into place.
Layers Dock (on the right bottom of the screen) will help you move from one layer to the other to edit each according to your needs.
If necessary, go to the Layers Dock and click on the arrows outside of the Dock’s Opacity Tile to lower the image’s transparency level.
CONGRATULATIONS! The front of your T-shirt has a new look.
- Save the changes by going to the top menu and click on File ➞ Export As …
- Select the folder where you want to save the texture, name it, and click on Select File Type (By Extension).
Select the JPEG image option and click on Export.
A new window appears. Click on Export.
The new texture has been saved in your chosen folder.
